Universal arc refractory brick is a high-performance refractory material specially designed for round industrial furnaces. Its semi-curved structure (semi-circular protrusion on one end and groove on the other) allows flexible adjustment of the masonry arc to adapt to the needs of different diameters of round hearths.
Universal arc refractory bricks are available in a wide variety of materials, including high alumina, clay, corundum, aluminum-silicon carbide, low porosity clay bricks and so on. They are mainly used for lining steel drums, ladles, blast furnaces, electric furnaces, hot blast furnaces, glass furnaces and cement kilns. Compared with traditional clay bricks, high alumina universal arc bricks have an increased service life of more than 210%, significantly improved resistance to slag and molten steel erosion, and reduced lining thickness, which increases vessel capacity and reduces erosion risk by reducing the number of vertical brick joints by 70%.


One of the significant advantages of universal arc brick is that it has small vertical joints, effectively avoiding the erosion effect of iron or steel drums moving up and down in the process of deep penetration into the brick joints. It is easy to manufacture, and the brick joints can be controlled within 1mm, which greatly improves airtightness and structural stability, and is ideal for industrial high-temperature equipment with high efficiency and durability.
