Description of acid resistant castable
Acid-resistant castables are made of acid-resistant refractory raw materials as aggregates and powders, and water glass as a binder. They are resistant to acid and acid gas corrosion. They have good resistance to corrosion by all inorganic and organic acids except hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid. They are mainly used as anti-corrosion linings, with a maximum operating temperature of about 1200°C.

Advantages of acid resistant castables
Acid resistance
Acid resistant castables are able to withstand long-term exposure to acids and not be destroyed under their influence. They are chemically inert to acids, preventing them from penetrating into the material structure.
Corrosion resistance
Acid-resistant castables are able to resist corrosion caused by acidic environments due to their chemical resistance. It prevents material damage and ensures the durability of the structure.
Thermal resistance
Acid-resistant castables have a high heat resistance and are able to withstand high temperatures without losing their mechanical properties. This is very important in environments where high temperatures may be encountered, such as in power plants or the metallurgical industry.
Mechanical strength
Acid-resistant castables have high mechanical strength and can withstand loads, impacts, and other influences during structural operation.
Durability
Acid-resistant castables are resistant to acid, corrosion and high temperatures, ensuring durability and long service life of the structure.
Various applications
Acid-resistant castables can be used in various industries such as metallurgy, chemical industry, oil and gas, and are multifunctional materials for various industrial processes.
Application of acid resistant castables
Metallurgy
Acid-resistant castables are used in metallurgical furnaces, converters, ladles and other thermal devices to prevent corrosion from corrosive combustion products, molten metals and acidic solutions.
Chemical industry
In the chemical refractory industry, acid-resistant castables are used to construct reactors, equipment, tanks, storage facilities and other containers involving corrosive chemicals.
Oil and gas industry
Acid-resistant castables are used in the construction of refinery tanks, warehouses, platforms and other structures that may come into contact with acids and chemical solutions used in the production and storage of petroleum products.
Light industry
In the production of building materials, ceramics, glass and other lightweight materials, acid-resistant castables are used to make furnaces, chambers and other equipment where high-temperature processes take place.
Thermal equipment
Acid-resistant castables are used in thermal equipment such as boilers, heat exchangers, burners and furnaces to prevent erosion by high temperatures and corrosive combustion products.
