Description of periclase powder
Fused periclase is a high quality refractory material obtained by melting selected ultra-natural magnesite or high-purity particles of lightly burnt magnesium in an electric arc furnace.
Sintered periclase is a high quality refractory material made of magnesite and aqueous magnesite calcined at 1550~1600℃.
Periclase powder is divided into sintered periclase, caustic magnesite, and fused magnesite.

Product Features
Fused periclase has high purity, large grain size, dense structure, high slag resistance and good thermal shock resistance.
The sintered periclase contains 90% to 97% MgO, which guarantees its high purity and stability.

Application of periclase powder
Periclase powder is used for the construction of steelmaking furnaces and walls, for the manufacture and repair of electric steelmaking furnace bottoms designed for heating metal ingots and large-sized billets, for steelmaking stock cups, for the manufacture of induction furnace crucibles. It is an important component of magnesite and dolomite refractories.
