Description of wear-resistant castables
Wear-resistant castables refer to refractory castables that can resist the friction or wear (impact) of high-temperature solid materials or airflow carrying solid powders. This type of refractory concrete mixture has high bending and compressive strength, so it is also called high-strength refractory mixture.
Wear-resistant castables are composed of high-hardness refractory fillers and powders, high-strength adhesives and additives. High-hardness refractory fillers include: fused corundum, fused zirconium corundum, fused mullite, sintered high-alumina bauxite, fused high-alumina or clay materials, silicon carbide, etc., which can be selected according to the use conditions.

Advantages of wear-resistant castables
Стойкость к истиранию
Wear-resistant castables have excellent wear resistance and can effectively resist the effects of wear, abrasion and abrasive environments. They are able to maintain good performance characteristics under the influence of high-speed flowing solid particles, abrasives and abrasive media.
Resistance to high temperatures
Wear-resistant castables can withstand wear and impact under high temperature conditions. They maintain stable physical and chemical properties under high temperature conditions and extend the service life of equipment.
Chemical resistance
Some wear-resistant castables also have good chemical resistance and can resist corrosive environments such as acids and alkalis. This makes them very suitable for use in harsh environments.
Impact resistance
Wear-resistant castables are not only resistant to wear, but also can withstand shock and vibration. They are able to remain stable under shock and vibration and are not easy to break or peel off.
High mechanical strength
Wear-resistant castables have high mechanical strength and durability, which makes them stable for a long time under harsh working conditions. This allows them to withstand high loads and mechanical stresses.
Flexibility of installation
Wear-resistant castables can be poured, sprayed or hand-placed according to specific requirements to accommodate equipment and structures of all shapes and sizes. They can be customized and installed on-site, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
Economic benefits
Using wear-resistant castables can extend the service life of your equipment and reduce downtime and maintenance costs. They provide reliable protection and durability, helping to increase productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
Application of wear-resistant castables
Metallurgical industry
Wear-resistant castables are widely used in the metallurgical industry, including lining and protection of blast furnaces, ladles, converters and iron pipes. The equipment is often exposed to high temperature and high wear environment, and wear-resistant casting materials provide reliable wear protection and extend the service life of the equipment.
Cement industry
In the cement production process, wear-resistant castables are often used to line and protect equipment such as cement kilns, rotary kilns and coal mills. They are resistant to high temperatures and corrosive environments, and are durable and protective.
Energy industry
Wear-resistant castables are widely used in the power industry, especially in coal-fired power plants. They are used to protect equipment such as boiler linings, combustion chambers, air ducts and coal mills. Wear-resistant casting materials are resistant to high temperatures and wear, extending the life of equipment.
Нефтехимическая и химическая промышленность
In petrochemical and chemical processes, wear-resistant castables are often used to line and protect equipment such as reactors, tanks, pipelines and nozzles. They resist wear, providing durability and protection in corrosive and high temperature environments.
Steel industry
In the steel production process, wear-resistant castables are used to line and protect high-temperature smelting furnaces, continuous casting machines, molten steel pouring ladles and other equipment. They can resist high temperatures, impacts and metal wear, thus extending the service life of the equipment.
