Description of Chrome Corundum Brick
Chrome Corundum bricks are corundum refractories containing Cr2O3. At high temperature, Cr2O3 and Al2O3 form a continuous solid solution, so the high temperature performance of chrome corundum bricks is better than that of pure corundum bricks. It has good resistance to high temperature and slag erosion, and its resistance to slag erosion increases with increasing Cr2O3 content. Chromic corundum bricks are widely used in various industries, including metallurgy, chemical industry, glass industry and other fields where high thermal and chemical resistance is required.

Advantages of chrome corundum bricks
- Outstanding refractory characteristics: chrome corundum bricks have excellent refractory properties. It can withstand high temperatures of more than 1700°C. Therefore, it is widely used in high-temperature industries such as metallurgy, steel and cement.
- Good wear resistance: With its high hardness and density, it does not easily wear out during operation. This makes it possible to extend the service life of the equipment.
- First-class slag corrosion resistance: chrome-corundum bricks have excellent resistance to molten slag erosion. Its resistance to slag erosion increases with increasing chromium oxide content.
Application of Chrome Corundum refractories
In the glass industry, chrome-corundum bricks can withstand high temperatures and chemical attack during glass production. Therefore, they are chosen as the inner material of the furnace to protect its structure.
Chromium-containing refractories are used in high-temperature processes in the metallurgical industry. For example, chrome corundum bricks are often used in non-ferrous smelting furnaces and other equipment requiring high temperature and refractoriness.
