
Description of AZS Ramming Mass
AZS ramming mass is a non-shaped refractory material which is composed of oxidized fused zirconium corundum particles and a small amount of additives. The product has the characteristics of convenient use, solidification at normal temperature, high refractoriness and high compressive strength, small thermal expansion and shrinkage, and high resistance to corrosion of glassy liquids. It is the most ideal non-shaped refractory used for sealing the bottom of glass furnace.
Classification of ramming mass
Unshaped refractory ramming mass is available in AZS, pure zirconium and corundum qualities. It can be used as a base for silicate furnaces and as a hot filler. Features: high density, good chemical and thermal stability, good plasticity.
Main components of AZS ramming mass
Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3): Provides high thermal stability, chemical inertness, and mechanical strength. Aluminum also provides corrosion resistance and high thermal conductivity.
Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2): Has high thermal resistance and strength. Zirconium improves mass properties such as resistance to cracking and thermal shock.
Silicon Oxide (SiO2): Provides good flow and compaction of the material. Silicon also helps improve chemical resistance and stability at high temperatures.

Application of AZS Ramming Mass

Molding surfaces
AZS ramming compound is used to create molding surfaces inside glass furnaces. It provides a smooth and molten glass-resistant surface, which allows glass products to be easily molded.
