
Description of calcium silicate board
Calcium silicate boards are a new generation of fire protection. This is a sheet made of silicate minerals (e.g. gypsum, limestone, etc.) and a certain proportion of fibrous materials (e.g. fiberglass, inorganic fibers, etc.), which are calcined, crushed and mixed at high temperatures. During the production of calcium silicate boards, silicon dioxide, calcium oxide, reinforced fibers, additives and other necessary raw materials are thoroughly mixed to obtain a stable and homogeneous solution.
After mixing, pour the raw material slurry into molds of the desired size and shape. Spread the slurry evenly over the mold and drain off excess water. During this operation, pressure is applied to compact the suspension and remove trapped air.
The formed form is placed in a hydraulic press, where further compaction of the suspension and removal of excess water occurs under pressure. The pressing process allows achieving the density and strength required for calcium silicate boards.
After pressing, the boards undergo a high-temperature hardening process. During the hardening process, a chemical reaction occurs between the components, resulting in the formation of calcium silicate crystals that bind the boards together.
Once the curing process is complete, the boards are cut to size using a saw or other cutting device. Sand or sand simultaneously to obtain a smooth and even surface.
