Description of Refractory Plastic Castable

Refractory plastic castable is made of granular, powdery materials, polymer clay and other binders and plasticizers, with a small amount of water added. After sufficient stirring, it forms a solid mud-like paste. The unformed refractory material maintains high plasticity for a long time. It has excellent wear resistance, excellent adhesion, and high working temperature (not less than 1600℃).

Classification of refractory plastics castable

According to the type of refractory aggregate, it can be divided into clay, high-aluminum, mullite, corundum, chromium, silicon carbide and zirconium-containing refractory plastics. According to the type of binder, refractory plastics can be divided into aluminum sulfate, phosphoric acid, phosphate, water glass and combined resin. Since this type of non-volatile refractory material is mainly used in various heating furnaces that do not directly contact the molten material, clay clinker and high-aluminum clinker are generally used, and lightweight granular materials are generally used to prepare lightweight plastics.
